DESCRIPTION: Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., "Office Calendar No. 8" wall clock, 8 day, time and perpetual calendar, weight driven movement in a walnut and burl walnut case with canopy top, glazed pendulum aperture and painted metal dials, and damascened pendulum bob
CONDITION: the case retains its original finish with chips on each of the upper finials and a small chip on pendulum door. There is some minor inpainting on time dial. The original canopy has been reattched. There is a repair to lower portion of pendulum rod where the adjustment assembly attaches. The horizontal time dial support is a period Seth Thomas replacement. The dial has been rotated slightly and the old original holes matching the dial are visible when the dial is off. The clock retains the original damascened bob and original cast iron weight stamped "No. 8 OFFICE CAL" This is a large, impressive clock and particularly handsome in walnut.

CONDITION: the case has little finish remaining. The lower tablet has been repainted. The dial is original, but has some inpaint, scratches and fading to numerals. The weight, gold leafed pendulum rod and damascened pendulum bob are original. The hands are original. There is a Palmer, Batchelder & Co. Jeweler's, Boston, label inside of case.

DESCRIPTION: E. Howard & Co., Boston, Mass., "No. 1 Regulator" banjo wall clock, 8 day, time only, weight driven movement in a rosewood grained cherry case with painted metal dial and reverse painted throat and lower tablets
CONDITION: this clock is in very good original condition. The gilded pendulum rod, damascened bob, both tablets, rosewood grain paint and dial paint are all original and in good condition. The strip of wood anchoring the lower left side of the throat tablet is replaced. The dial mounting screws have been replaced. This is a very nice example of the No. 1 in excellent condition.

DESCRIPTION: E. Howard & Co., Boston, Mass., "No. 70 Regulator- 20 Inch Dial", wall clock, 8 days, time only, weight driven movement in a walnut case with painted wooden dial and reverse painted lower tablet for "BASS RIVER LODGE 141"
CONDITION: the case is in excellent original condition with original finish and bold graining in the walnut with some white wall paint along the bottom rear edge. There is a chip of 3/4" x 1/8" in rear right side molding. The dial is in very good condition with very minor scratches. The weight baffle has been replaced and case no longer has a pendulum tie down. The original Bass River Ridge Lodge tablet is in excellent condition and also included is a separate professional reproduction standard Howard style tablet, in the red, gold and black. The Masonic Bass River Lodge is located at 242 Old Bass River Rd, South Dennis, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. We sold this specific clock in our May 2013 auction for $18,500 plus 15% Buyer's Premium.

CONDITION: the case retains its original finish. The finials have an overcoat of finish. The upper center finial has a repaired crack. The dial retains its excellent original paint, hands and drop shadow signature. The pendulum has original gold leaf on rod and damascene on bob. This is a very nice example of a rare model in this size.

CONDITION: the case retains its original finish. The top fan has a chip in the upper right and the two upper finials have shortened tips. The bottom finial has a chip on the left. The lower outer left finial has a repaired split. The original label has some wear. The dial has a new pan and new paint, however it retains its original back plate mount.

CONDITION: the case has been rubbed down to a flat finish. The lower left column has a minor abrasion. The central lower element has scratches from lenticle door. Both dials have been repainted. The pendulum bob has some dings and dents around perimeter.

CONDITION: the case has been professionally rubbed down and cleaned. Both dials retain their original paint with some inpainting. The pendulum bob is nicely damascened and has been polished. The original weight is marked "No. 9 OFFICE". This is a very good original example in cherry in excellent condition.

CONDITION: the case retains its original finish with all the carvings present. The upper right rear drop finial is detached but present. The lower right carved element on the crest has an old repair and is detached but present. The lower left carved element on the crest has a crack repair. The stabilization pin is absent on the pendulum mount. The numbers on mount and pendulum do not match.

DESCRIPTION: Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co., Winsted, Conn., "Regulator No. 16 Hanging" jeweler's regulator, 8 day, time only, weight driven movement with deadbeat escapement, maintaining power, sweep seconds and three vial mercury pendulum in a cherry case with Egyptian mask on pediment and white enamel dial
CONDITION: the case retains its original finish. The crest consists of several separate pieces, which will need to be reglued, but is complete. The lower center portion of the backboard is loose and will need to be reattached. One finial has a chip in the back and an overcoat of finish. The glass on right side is cracked near base. The movement sits on later supports and two channels have been carved in the vertical boards to accommodate the door locks on the movement. The dial is in excellent condition with no chips or hairlines. The beat scale sits on a custom stand on the bottom of case. The nickel plated weight has a minor ding on bottom rim. Mercury for the pendulum is included and must be hand delivered. The level of mercury in the photograph is simulated and may differ from actual amount. This impressive clock cost $135.00 in 1910.

DESCRIPTION: E. Howard & Co., Boston, Mass., RARE "No. 58 Regulator- 12" wall clock, 8 day, time only, weight driven movement in a cherry case with 12" painted metal dial, gold leafed pendulum rod and damascened pendulum bob
CONDITION: the case retains its original finish and the right dial support needs to be reglued. The dial retains its original paint in very good condition. The keystone on pendulum is detached but present and the suspension spring is absent. The pendulum rod is original and retains remnants of gold leaf. The damascened pendulum bob is original. This is a rare clock, the largest of the "58" series produced by Howard. It is similar to the No. 72 Regulator, except without a second's bit and a one inch shorter case.

The upper tablet with Aaron Willard signature has been restored and stabilized but retains much of its original paint. The original lower tablet is broken but it is included.
