DESCRIPTION: Waltham Clock Co., Waltham, Mass., "Model 35" wall clock with a weight driven 8 day timepiece movement (with deadbeat escapement and maintaining power) in a mahogany case.
CONDITION: The case is in excellent condition with a dark original finish. The movement is signed and has a serial number of 1351. The original painted dial has some mismatched inpainting at the mounting holes.

DESCRIPTION: Waltham Clock Co., Waltham, Mass., 8 day, weight brass movement patent or banjo timepiece. Serial No. 3211.
CONDITION: Mahogany case in nice condition in original finish. Original painted dial has some stains and some loss at the mounting screws and the winding arbor. Throat tablet appears original and has some background loss. The bottom tablet may be a replaced as the gold areas are not gold leaf but gold paint. Movement is signed. Original hands and pendulum.

DESCRIPTION: Waterbury Clock Co., Waterbury, Conn., "Peoria", 8 day, spring brass movement roller calendar clock.
CONDITION: This oak case model in original finish is in nice condition. The catalog image shows this clock with two drop finials, but this example does not show any indication that it every had drop finials. Original painted dial has five very small areas of paint loss and some stains in the center. Original hands. Original tablet glass has scattered loss of the black background. Original calendar rollers have age darkened.

DESCRIPTION: Waterbury Clock Co., Waterbury, Conn., "Regulator No. 53", wall clock, 8 day, time only, two brass weight driven movement in an oak case with a painted metal dial
CONDITION: the case retains its original finish dried out. One ball molding on lower left return is absent. The dial retains its original paint with inpaint around mounting screws. The pendulum stick is a replacement that is slightly too long. The weights are old replacements but not the proper style.

DESCRIPTION: Welch, Spring & Co., Forestville, Conn., "No. 3 Regulator B. W." hanging clock with a double weight driven 8 day timepiece movement and a B. B. Lewis patented perpetual calendar mechanism in a black walnut case.
CONDITION: The case is in excellent condition with a few very minor scuff marks. The finish is original. The original painted time dial is in very good condition, nicely aged, with loss at the winding holes and the center arbor. The hour, minute and day indicator hands are original. The original painted calendar dial is in excellent condition. The calendar hand is original. All three glasses are original. The pendulum rod has a nice original gilt finish. The lower right finial has several small chips. The top right finial has a repaired crack. A small portion of the top bezel latch is missing. The side glasses and nicely gilt inside moldings are original.

DESCRIPTION: Welch, Spring & Co., Forestville, Conn., "Titiens V. P." shelf clock with a spring driven 30 day timepiece movement in a rosewood case.
CONDITION: The case is in excellent condition with its original finish ... one of the nicest Welch clocks we have seen in a long time. The beautiful, signed porcelain dial has several very minor hairline cracks. The hands are original. The door glass and side glasses are original. The pendulum rod is nicely gilt, as are the side window moldings. There is a nice company label on the back side of the case. The nickel plated movement front plate is signed.

DESCRIPTION: Welch, Spring, & Co., Forestville, Conn., "Wagner" hanging calendar clock with a spring driven 8 day time and strike movement and a B. B. Lewis patented perpetual calendar mechanism in a walnut case.
CONDITION: The case is in excellent condition, retaining its polished original finish. All finials are intact. The original paper time dial is in very good condition and shows wear consistent with the age of the clock. The hands are original. The pointer on the day indicator hand is missing. The calendar dial is original and in excellent condition, as are the calendar hands. The clock originally had a wire gong strike but that has been converted to a bell strike, but the original iron mounting bracket and brass cover are there so it could easily be converted back. The Welch, Spring and Co. label in the case base is in excellent condition as is the B. B. Lewis calendar label.

DESCRIPTION: Welch, Spring & Co., Forestville, Conn., "Patti VP", 8 day, time, strike and alarm spring brass movement shelf clock.
CONDITION: Rosewood and rosewood veneered case in an original finish has some decay to the finish on the upper right molding and some loss on the bottom right edge. Paper dial has age darkened. Original movement, hands, Welch pendulum and tablet. Left finial has a piece missing on the base. The center finial has most of the flanged base broken off. Dark, but readable label on the back.

CONDITION: A later clear finish has been applied over the original finish. The crest was broken and glued. Carved scroll on the right side is absent. Paper dial is old and appears original with stains and surface scuffs. Original hands, tablet and pendulum. Black flocked paper on the backboard has some surface cracks. Movement is signed.

Lot#: 866

DESCRIPTION: Welch, Spring & Co., Forestville, Conn., "Lucca V.P." shelf clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement in a rosewood veneered case.
CONDITION: The case is in good condition and appears to have had a fairly recent application of satin clear coat. The five finials are well-crafted replacements of the proper design. The dial is a well-installed paper replacement. The dial pan has been remounted so there is an extra set of holes on its edge. The hands are old replacements. Nearly complete rear label and partial inner label. The door glass is the proper type and has been reglazed recently. Original black flocked paper on the backboard. Nice original gilt pendulum with pressed glass insert. The clock comes with a black and white photo trading card featuring Pauline Lucca (1841 – 1908) who was a famous operatic soprano after whom this clock was named.
