DESCRIPTION: Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, Mass., "Ship's Strike" shelf clock, 8 day, time and ship's bell strike, spring driven movement in a round brass case with silvered metal 10 inch special dial with applied brass numerals set on a mahogany base
CONDITION: the clock is in excellent original condition and includes instruction booklet. Two small holes in the bottom of the mahogany base have been drilled where a plaque could be mounted.

DESCRIPTION: Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, Mass., "Ship's Strike" wall clock, retailed by Negus, New York for the ship "PENGUIN", 8 day, time and ship's bell strike, spring driven movement in a round brass case with 8 inch silvered metal dial accompanied by bench made wooden stand, serial #605321
CONDITION: the dial has some tarnishing and oxidaton around "PEGUIN ". The lever responsible for the ship's bell strike routine has had some lead solder applied to it as a counter weight. One dial screw is a replacement.

DESCRIPTION: Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, Mass., for U.S. Navy, "Pilot House" timepiece, 8 day, time only, spring-driven rectangular movement in a polished brass case with 8.5 inch silvered dial and large subsidiary seconds above the center arbor, movement serial number 248815.
CONDITION: Heavy brass case has mellow patina. Silvered dial is in excellent condition and has probably been nicely resilvered. Mounting holes in rear flange have been repaired by brazing. Three holes in bottom of case have also been filled. There is an extra set of holes in the ring that holds dial and movement to case. The less common rectangular Chelsea movement ticks briskly.

DESCRIPTION: Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, Mass., for U.S. Navy, "Pilot House" timepiece, 8 day, time only, spring-driven rectangular movement in a polished brass case with 8.5 inch black dial and large subsidiary seconds below the center arbor.
CONDITION: The heavy brass case has some fine scratches. The glass will need to be replaced. The black dial is good. The original hands have flaking paint. Serial number on the case is 131688, which is very close to the movement serial number which is 131785. The movement ticks. Similar in design to the Seth Thomas "Ship's Lever No. 8" who also made clocks for the U.S. Navy during this period. The seconds orbit could be ordered in either the upper or lower portion of the dial. There do not appear to be many examples with the orbit in the lower portion and the winding arbor in the upper.

CONDITION: Mahogany case in original finish has an abraded flat spot on one segment of the dial door. Original tablets and hands. Original dial plate repainted by the Dial House. There has been a repair to the left side sidearm. Movement is signed. Bottom board has been replaced as a result of weight damage. Weight baffle is missing. There is some repair to the background paint on the bottom tablet.

DESCRIPTION: Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, Mass., "Pendulum #1" hanging regulator, 8 day, time only, weight driven movement in an oak case with painted metal dial.
CONDITION: The case is in excellent condition and has been skillfully refinished. The metal dial was repainted by Frank Machera in the 1990s. Original hands and correct cast iron weight. Upper and lower glasses are wavy. A copper tag inside of door is stamped "Smith & Ziegler ". The signed brass movement has a spoked hour wheel and is stamped with serial number 49261.

CONDITION: Brass case has many fingerprints and uneven tarnish spots. Glass is absent. Locking bezel comes with a working cabinet style key. Silvered dial is in excellent condition and may have been redone. Seconds bit is missing. Black paint is flaking off of hands near the center arbor. Movement ticks briskly.

CONDITION: The brass case is in excellent condition, having been polished fairly recently. The dial has been resilvered, so it looks very good. The dial is not signed. The applied brass numerals indicate that this is one of Chelsea's "Special" dials. The hands are correct. The signed movement is serial number 81049.

CONDITION: Brass case has a dark, uneven patina with some small dark oxide spots and drops of wall paint. The silvered dial is in good condition with a little dark tarnishing. The seconds bit is missing, as is one of the dial retaining screws. The signed Chelsea movement ticks. Movement serial number 124995.

CONDITION: Mahogany case in an original finish has minor damage at the lower left corner and some separation at the upper right corner of the bottom door. The bottom tablet has some background loss and a piece is missing at the upper right corner. Throat tablet has some lifting of the background paint and some loss in the center area. Original painted dial is in pretty good condition for its age with some staining at the winding arbor. Original pendulum. Movement is signed.

DESCRIPTION: Boston Clock Co., Boston, Mass., wall regulator, 8 day, time only, weight driven movement a in mahogany case with painted metal dial.
CONDITION: case is in very good condition and has had an application of clear finish applied over the original. Wood weight baffle has split horizontally and been repaired. Bezel glass is wavy. Lower tablet has been repainted with care. The metal dial has very fine craquelure. A large section of the center of the dial has been touched up with white paint. The color match is quite good, but the new paint has a bit less gloss compared to the original. Bluing is somewhat worn off of hands. Very nice pendulum with damascened pattern. Signed movement with spoked hour wheel is stamped with serial number is 438. A very hard-to-find model.
