DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Regal", 8 day, time and strike, spring driven brass movement crystal regulator mantel clock with visible escapement.
CONDITION: Rich gold case in nice condition for its age has most of the original gilding intact with some wear on the high spots. There is more wear to the gilding on the door bezel. Original porcelain dial has hairline cracks at the winding arbors and one at the number eleven. Original hands and pendulum. All the beveled glass panels are fine. Movement is signed.

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Double Figure Swing" mystery clock, 8 day, time only, spring driven movement in a nickel plated cylindrical case with cast ribbon ornament, held aloft by a pair of spelter figures standing on a black enamel base with paw feet.
CONDITION: The original paper dial has taken on a fairly uniform darker shade. The paper dial lists a patent date of 1878. The nickel cannister is somewhat tarnished, but in good condition. Some very small number have been inscribed on the back cover. The point an the end of the pendulum is absent. Both figures have good original patinated finishes. Standard enameled iron base is in good condition with gold paint within the recessed design. The movement appears to be correct, but is not signed. Occasionally, the trademark stamp is located on the less accessible front plate of the movement. A nice example.

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Antique Hanging" wall clock, 8 day, time and strike, weight driven brass movement in a mahogany case with cast brass appliques, embossed pendulum bob and dial pan with turned weights
CONDITION: the case retains its original finish. There is some discoloration to the brass on the dial. Hands have been replaced. Original pendulum, weights and finials. One of the fancy weight hooks is missing. The cast ornament on the bottom is replaced.

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Juno" figural swinging clock, 8 day, time only, spring driven movement mounted inside a nickel plated brass sphere with cast ribbon ornament and applied Arabic numerals, with Louis XV style hands, all supported by patinated spelter figure of a Roman goddess standing atop a cast spelter pedestal.
CONDITION: figure an unusually clean brown patination over the spelter casting. Very small losses in places. The sphere may have once had a colored finish, but now has a tarnished nickel plated surface. Hands and cast ornaments appear to be correct. Movement is signed by Ansonia Clock Co. and is also stamped "A 22 ".

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Brass & Copper Co., Ansonia, Conn., 30 hour, time and alarm spring brass movement Davies Patent Matchstick Illuminated Alarm novelty shelf clock. The clock case and movement were made Ansonia and Henry J. Davies made the illumination part of the clock. A rare clock to find, particularly complete.
CONDITION: Walnut case in nice condition in an old finish. Original paper dial is badly stained with poor repairs to some of the numbers. Original hands. Partial label on the back. The lighting device appears complete with the original oil lamp.

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Peerless" crystal regulator, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement with visible Brocot escapement in an ornate gilt metal case with two child figures on each side and Cupid with his bow on top, two piece enamel dial with blued steel hands and double-vial pendulum.
CONDITION: Brass and cast metal case has the remains of the original gilding. The original signed porcelain dial and all four beveled glass panels are in very good condition. Original hands and pendulum. A cast arrow that was held by top statue is missing. Strikes on a cathedral gong. Pallet jewels are likely red carnelian. The movement is signed.

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Don Caesar and Don Juan" figural mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement with visible Brocot escapement, black enameled iron base on paw feet supporting clock with cream enamel dial and Louis XV style hands, flanked by the two soldier figures.
CONDITION: The black enameled base is in good condition with a few small losses of finish. Paw feet have the original Japanese Bronze finish. The dial and hands are excellent. The clock case and figures look to have been replated with copper. Some attempt was made to selectively darken the finish, but overall it is rather too bright and uniform. This should improve with age. The door hinge will need to be repaired. Sword for the figure on the left is included, but will need to be reattached. The pendulum is the proper Ansonia type. The movement is signed.

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Capitol" hanging timepiece, 8 day, time only, dual weight driven movement in a Vienna-style walnut case with white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds.
CONDITION: case finish has been rubbed down. Small veneer losses to incurved bottom. Enamel dial is in very good condition with some very fine hairlines above the center arbor hole. Brass pendulum with small dents and a bit of browning lacquer. Remnants of rear and inner paper labels. Nickel plated movement. Bottom finials may be replaced, but they are a good finish match. Rear portion of one of the upper finials is chipped off. Door glass is replaced.

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "La Riviere" mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement with visible Brocot escapement in a polychrome porcelain Royal Bonn case with vibrant floral design.
CONDITION: the case is in outstanding condition. There is a small defect in the glaze on the left side that only about 1/16th of an inch in diameter. Royal Bonn trademark is stamped on the back of the case, near the embossed name of the clock. Two piece porcelain dial and round beveled glass is excellent. Original hands. Proper Ansonia pendulum. The movement is signed.

CONDITION: The spelter case is in good condition with no obvious breaks or losses. It has a green finish which is probably not original but has some age. It gives an impression of something like a vibrant verdigris. The gilding has mostly worn off of the cast figures and ornaments. The white porcelain dial has one fine hairline crack. The beveled glass is very good. The pendulum is absent. The minute hand is a replacement. The round Ansonia movement is signed.
