DESCRIPTION: Standing Jeweler's Regulator, 8 day, time only, weight driven Swiss pinwheel movement with a gridiron lyre pendulum and sweep seconds in a carved walnut and walnut burl case with white enamel dial
CONDITION: the case has a nicely rubbed down finish. It is a professionally altered wall mounted factory case that is now in a standing configuration. The movement and pendulum have matching numbers. The weight is original.

DESCRIPTION: New England tall clock, 8 day, time and strike, weight driven movement in a cherry case with fretwork top, three brass finials and fluted columns on hood over trunk with fluted corner columns with brass capitals over base resting on ogee feet
CONDITION: the case retains its original finish with an age split to base panel. The ogee feet have been shortened. The fretwork top is complete, but in several pieces. Two of the three period finials have damage to the tips. The dial paint and hands are original and the dial is in good condition. The shaft on the seconds hand needs to be extended. The winding crank, tin can weights and brass clad bob are all period.

DESCRIPTION: Timothy Cheney, Hartford, Conn., tall clock, 30 hour, time and strike, weight driven wooden movement in a pine case with arched top with reeded columns flanking hood door over a tombstone door on trunk resting on a cove molded and block feet. The brass dial is laid on wood and has a silvered chapter ring, calendar aperture, seconds bit and cast brass spandrels with Timothy Cheney signature in boss on arch.
CONDITION: the case has an old refinish and is associated with the movement. The hood has been reconstructed from some old and new elements. These Cheney movements are usually pull rope winding, but this one winds through the dial, perhaps original or an early conversion. The feet have been replaced and the finials are absent. The tin can weights are period. Includes one eagle finial that appears to be period, but is not shown in the photographs.

DESCRIPTION: New Jersey area tall case clock, 8 day, time and strike, weight driven movement in a mahogany and mahogany veneer case with a broken arch pediment, center finial, four full columns flanking hood over rectangular trunk door and base with crotch mahogany veneer. The painted metal dial has moon phase, seconds bit and calendar.
CONDITION: the case has been nicely rubbed down and retains an old finish. The right arch on hood has a repair and there is a split in the upper backboard. The center finial and feet are replaced. The dial has inpaint and the moon phase is flaking. Second hand replaced, but hour and minute hands proper. The pendulum has a brass clad bob.

DESCRIPTION: Thomas Gaskell, Knutsford, County Cheshire, England, tall clock, 8 day, time and strike, weight driven movement in a flat top heavily inlaid mahogany case with cross hatching and conch shell decorations. The painted metal square dial has seconds bit and calendar.
CONDITION: the case retains an old finish with a long splits in the plinth. The hood has repairs and restoration and it has a monogram inlaid above hood door. The base may be original and is very old. The movement is tarnished and needs cleaning. There are no weights. This was a very decorative and expensive clock of the late 18th century / early 19th century.

DESCRIPTION: Riley Whiting, Winchester, Conn., tall clock, 30 hour, time, strike and calendar, weight driven wooden works movement in a soft wood case with flame mahogany faux finish and painted wooden dial
CONDITION: the case retains its original grain painted surface with a light overcoat. The molding above the base has a dent and a crack repair on the cove molding above the dial. The escutcheon is polished. This is a very nice example of a Riley Whiting in an original grain painted case.

DESCRIPTION: Charles Monks, Prescot, Lancashire, England, tall clock, 8 day, time and strike, weight driven movement in a Gothic revival mahogany case with reverse painted glass inserts above hood door, Gothic shaped trunk door over a base with framed panel on straight bracket feet. The painted metal dial has moon phase, seconds bit and calendar.
CONDITION: the case retains its original finish. The glass panels are intact and without damage. The thin right return molding below case is detached but present. There are minor age cracks below hood. The dial is faded with some flaking to moon phase and the signature is only perceptible under black light. Hands appear original. Brass eagle finial an old replacement. This style of clock had fancy wood finials.

Deeble, Cork, Ireland, tall clock, 8 day, time and strike, weight driven movement in an inlaid mahogany case with broken arch top, dentil molding, carved rosettes and rope twist columns flanking hood over inlaid trunk door and base. The brass dial has calendar, silvered chapter ring, cast corner spandrels and moon phase.
CONDITION: the case has an older finish with a molding absent from top of center plinth and a molding loose on left side of base that needs to be reattached. The feet are absent. The dial has minor flaking in moon phase and some oxidation. Minute hand is replaced.

DESCRIPTION: Silas Hoadley, Plymouth Conn., tall clock, 30 hour, time and strike, weight driven wooden works movement in an inlaid cherry case with fluted columns flanking hood and trunk doors and a painted wooden dial
CONDITION: the case has an older refinish with several crack repairs to cove molded crest on simple round-top hood which may have originally had a more decorative top with frets and finials. The dial has nice raised gilt work and an eagle in the lunette, but has some loss near the eagle and a small chip in lower left corner.

CONDITION: the case retains its original finish with a dent in the upper right of the plinth and some age cracks in plinth. The paw and onion feet are replacements. The dial is in good condition and the moon phase has some flaking. The weights and pendulum are period.

DESCRIPTION: John Collins, Wattisfield, England, tall clock, 8 day, time and strike, weight driven movement in a mahogany case with crotch mahogany door on bracket feet with engraved square sheet brass dial
CONDITION: the case has been over coated and the hood top is replaced and there are veneer repairs on trunk door. There is a piece of return molding absent below hood on left. The upper left corner of the dial has a minor chip. The minute hand is replaced. According to the note inside case the calendar wheel is dated 1797. Silvering the dial would greatly enhance its engraving and readability.

CONDITION: sold "as is ". Both are in good condition. The dimensions given are of (2), which has had its feet replaced.
