Restored base bottom board, apron, French feet and associated glue blocks, crack though the base from top to bottom filled with wood, minor inlay repairs, dial cleaned. relined and in-painted, replacement weight, replacement finial. Joseph Loring's account book covering his work from 1791-1812 is extant in the collections of the American Antiquarian Society, Worcester, Massachusetts. Prior to his move to Boston about 1815, he worked in Sterling, just north of Worcester. Please see Paul Foley, "Willard's Patent Timepieces" pp 279-280.
