MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks). The watch appears to be a unique piece, made by an individual watchmaker. A book titled "The Swiss in the United States, a compilation prepared for the Swiss-American Historical Society as the second volume of its publications" contains a reference to one Charles Richiger, who became the manager of a watch factory in Newark, New Jersey in 1884.
