Condition Report For Lot# 645 :
(1) Refinished rosewood veneered case with minor loss at the top edge of the cornice. Both tablets are poor replacements. Paper dial on the backside of the original dial has paint loss. Original hands. Nice label inside the case. (2) Mahogany veneered case with remains of an original finish. Original painted wood dial with minor wear. Original tablet with considerable loss. Minute hand is replaced. Label is missing. (3) Mahogany veneered case with old finish and veneer loss on the base, lower right side back edge, and the front edge of the cornice top. Original wood dial plate poorly repainted. Slide mirror on the dial is missing. Original brass hands (correct period, but commonly used on dials with black chapter rings and gilt numerals). Both tablets repainted on on old glass, but incorrect for 1830's. Label missing.
