Condition Report For Lot# 266 :
(1) Brass movement with maintaining power on the time side and probably American with three hands of the center arbor. The iron dial looks to have had a coat of varnish applied that has now turned yellow along with scattered paint loss. Moon dial is in nice condition as well as the date wheel. The hour hand is probably replaced, but a proper style. The false plate that attaches the dial to the movement is not signed. (2) This movement and dial have been baptized by fire and has destroyed the paint on the dial and covered the movement with smoke residue. There is rust on the steel work caused by acid in the smoke, but movement can be probably be restored if the acid can be neutralized. The dial can be repainted . There are no weights or pendulums for these movements. Both Dials are approximately 12" x 17"
