Condition Report For Lot# 92 :
CASE: Scratches on outer surface of case, minor; Scratches on inner surface of cuvette; Engine turning / engraving with moderate wear; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Excellent (no hairlines). HANDS: Replaced. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Gilt finish on plates with minor spotting; Balance cock screw replaced. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks). Although the movement is currently oriented as in a hunting case, the case is original - if the movement is placed in the case correctly, the winding arbor aligns with the plugged hole in the cuvette, the hole in the bottom plate for the movement locating pin aligns with the corresponding hole in the case, as does the case screw with its mark on the case. The stem wind conversion requires the movement to be oriented as it is currently. A very nice early Waltham with honest and interesting alterations.
Estimate: $3000 - $4000
