except that the scythe has become loose/separated from Chronos, clock is in overall excellent original condition. This model was made from around 1814 to about 1890, and examples can be found in several reference books, notably Elke Niehüser's book titled "French Bronze Clocks", page 43. Other examples can be found on the internet. The well made gong strike movement retains a perfect porcelain dial and original moon hands. In addition to the Vincenti medallion, it bears the imprint of the importer "A-1" and #7173. A very heavy item requiring special packing for shipment. Width = 21" Ht 21"
