Condition Report For Lot# 569:
this was a limited production item, and Seth Thomas Clock Company experimented with a couple of movements. This case shows the witness outline and 4-holes for a larger iron bracket, but not the trapezoidal bracket in Mike Lowe's clock, rather a 3rd pattern with rounded corners (see detail photos on website). The movement & bracket in this Wasserman clock are identical to the ones shown on page 316 of Ly's Seth Thomas book. Bob was aware of the condition, but enjoyed the clock as one of the rarest Ball models known. The walnut case itself is in outstanding condition with original finish intact, nicely waxed. Movement clean and running briskly; 2-jar pendulum is perfect with original thumb print jars intact. Included is the Bill of Sale to Wasserman for $85,000 and a list of the several previous owners. Ht 71"
Estimate: $50000 - $100000
