DESCRIPTION: France, an attractive, small swinger, "Nymph with Roses", turned wooden, faux tortoise shell base with engraved plaque "Nymphe aux Rose par Moreau", supporting the patinated spelter figure of a young woman, in flowing dress, with column and basket of flowers, the swinging timepiece held aloft in her left hand, the 8 day movement contained in a patinated sphere with applied roman numerals and Louis XV style hands, and attached to the faux gridiron, compound pendulum, clock movement and pendulum marked "S.E.F.I.A. France"
CONDITION: dirty, base with minor losses to paint, figure with losses to patination, clock case and small sphere with losses to patination, gilt components with losses to surface, steel pendulum components with oxide, large sphere counter weight now glued to inside of bottom, movement dirty, will run, suspension repaired with stiff wire, will need to be replaced with proper material if it is to function, needs service and adjustment
