DESCRIPTION: American Waltham Watch Co, Waltham, Mass., "Riverside Maximus" with wind indicator, 16 size, 23 jewels, stem wind and lever set, adjusted to 6 positions, temperature and isochronism, ornately damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, diamond endstones, cut bimetallic balance, gold jewel settings, gold timing screws, gold wheel train and whiplash micrometric regulator in a gold filled, engraved, screw back and bezel open face case, and Arabic numeral, triple sunk white enamel dial, blued steel spade and whip hands, serial #23100114
CONDITION: CASE: Dings and pin pricks; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on inner surface of case; Fine scratches on crystal; Pendant with minor brassing. DIAL: A few fine scratches, otherwise very good. HANDS: Replaced. MOVEMENT PLATES: Scattered, fine scratches on plate; Minor scratches on winding wheels; Winding wheels with specks of oxide; Ratchet wheel with spot of abrasion and pitting; Bright work with fine scratches; Regulator assembly with specks of oxide; Minor loss to blacking in engraving.
