DESCRIPTION: France, carriage clock, 8 day, time and strike counting the hours on a gong, spring driven movement with lever platform in an Anglaise case with stepped and molded base, edge beading and glazed on five sides with beveled glass, white enamel dial with Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes, blued steel distaff style hands.
CONDITION: brass case has a bright polish with some small dents on the top of the back side. Three of the five beveled glasses have small, visible chips at the corners. The dial and hands are very good. The back plate of the unsigned movement is covered in a film of oil and could use cleaning. Ticks briskly and strikes.
