DESCRIPTION: American Waltham Watch Co., Waltham Mass., model 1900 "Riverside Maximus", 0 size, 19 jewels, stem wind and set, adjusted, damascened nickel plate movement, with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, diamond endstone, gold jewel settings, gold timing screws, gold wheel train and Church micrometric regulator, in a 14 karat, yellow gold, engraved hunting case with applied, gold foliate ornament, and Arabic numeral, outer red five minute markers, single sunk white enamel dial, blued steel spade hands, serial #14032076, 37.9g TW, c1905.
CONDITION: CASE: Very fine scratches on inner surface of case; Front cover opens beyond 90 degrees, 95- 100 deg.; Bow worn; Crown worn; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Very good. HANDS: Minute replaced and with oxidation. MOVEMENT PLATES: A few fine scratches; Ratchet wheel replaced and with oxide; Crown wheel with specks of oxide; Case screw with chipped head; Regulator assembly with a few specks of oxide. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks), low balance amplitude, needs service.
