DESCRIPTION: England, for Theodore B. Starr, New York, ebonized, quarter striking bracket clock, the molded base with gilt scroll feet, gilt, fluted columns supporting the cornice and dome top, and flanking the cast, foliate bezel and composite dial with Roman numeral chapter ring and strike selector in the arch, sides with pierced frets and carrying handles, top with five pineapple finials, three train fusee movement chiming on eight bells, and striking the hours on a gong
CONDITION: case with significant loss to black lacquer, front with abrasions, front door hinges broken, gilt components with spotting and losses to gilding, central pineapple finial damaged, left side fret loose, dial with tarnish and spotting, movement dirty, will tick, strike and chime trains with power, but not functional
