DESCRIPTION: Hamilton Watch Co., Lancaster, Penn., grade "964", 16 size, 17 jewels, stem wind and set, damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, gold jewel settings and whiplash micrometric regulator in a yellow gold filled, screw back and bezel, plain polished open face case, and Arabic numeral, outer red 5-minute markers, double sunk white enamel dial, plum colored steel spade and whip hands, serial #50833, c1900.
CONDITION: CASE: Minor dings; Band with dent; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Very fine scratches on inner surface of case; Minor gaps at band when closed; Gold filled with minor brassing; Minor scratches on crystal; Bow and crown with wear. DIAL: Cracks in enamel. HANDS: Minor oxide, tip of minute. MOVEMENT PLATES: Fine scratches on plate; Tiny scuff on balance cock; Fine scratches on winding wheels; Crown wheel core and one screw with specks of oxide; Regulator assembly with a few specks of oxide. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) A rare grade, total production 340.
