DESCRIPTION: American Waltham Watch Co., Waltham Mass., model 1894 "Riverside Maximus", 12 size, 23 jewels, stem wind and set, adjusted, damascened nickel plate movement, with lever escapement, diamond endstones, gold jewel settings, gold timing screws, gold wheel train and Church micrometric regulator, in a 14 karat rose gold hunting case with monogram on front cover, and Arabic numeral, double sunk white enamel dial, blued steel moon hands, serial #17030039, 99.7g TW, c1910.
CONDITION: CASE: Shows extra case screw mark; Two small dents, band, back; Minor dings; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on inner surface of case; Front cover repaired; Front cover with minor gap at band when closed; Front cover with step at band, top; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Hairlines in enamel, light, 8:00- 9:00, 11:00 and center, at either side of seconds bit. HANDS: Replaced. MOVEMENT PLATES: Fine scratches on plate; A few minor scratches on barrel bridge; Minor scratches on winding wheels; Ratchet wheel with oxidation; Some screw heads with minor marring. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) .
