DESCRIPTION: Ball Watch Co., Cleveland, Ohio, Ball- Waltham "Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers", "BLE" marked, 16 size, 19 jewels, stem wind and lever set, adjusted to 5 positions and temperature, circular damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, gold jewel settings, gold timing screws and whiplash micrometric regulator in a yellow gold filled, screw back and bezel open face Ball Model case with gold disc applied to back, arabic numeral, single sunk white enamel dial with "BLE" mark, plum colored steel spade hands, serial #B210756, c1905.
CONDITION: CASE: Dings; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Very fine scratches on inner surface of case; Back of pendant with spot of brassing; Plastic crystal with minor scratches; Bow with wear. DIAL: Glued chip and filled loss, 4:00. HANDS: Oxidation, minute. MOVEMENT PLATES: Fine scratches on plate; Scratch near click and another at case screw; Fine scratches on winding wheels; Winding wheels with a few specks of oxide, ratchet wheel with spot of shallow, nearly invisible pitting; Barrel bridge with ding near case screw. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) ; Balance rim or pivots slightly bent.
