DESCRIPTION: Ball Watch Co., Cleveland, Ohio, Ball- Hamilton "Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers", 18 size, 19 jewels, stem wind and lever set, adjusted to 5 positions and temperature, circular damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, gold jewel settings, gold timing screws and whiplash micrometric regulator in a yellow gold filled, screw back and bezel, engraved, open face case, Arabic numeral, single sunk white enamel dial, plum colored steel spade hands, serial #642982, c1910.
CONDITION: CASE: Dings; Minor scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on inner surface of case; Engraving nearly worn smooth; Gold filled with moderate brassing; Bow replaced; Crown replaced. DIAL: Spider hairlines, 12:00- 2:00; Minor scratches. HANDS: Mismatched; Oxidation. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Clusters of minor marks and scratches at case screws; Barrel bridge with minor marring at bridge screws; Regulator assembly and balance stud clamp with spots of oxide. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) .
