Ball Watch Co., Cleveland, Ohio, Ball- Hamilton 999 "Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers", 18 size, 21 jewels, stem wind and lever set, adjusted to 5 positions and temperature, damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, gold jewel settings, gold timing screws and whiplash micrometric regulator in a yellow gold filled, hinged back and bezel, reeded edge, engine turned and engraved open face case, arabic numeral, single sunk white enamel dial, blued steel spade hands, serial #644224, c1910.
CONDITION: CASE: Dings; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Very fine scratches and a few case knife marks on cuvette; Engine turning with minor wear; Pendant with small spots of brassing; Bow with brassing; Crown worn. DIAL: Hairlines in enamel, light, 12- 1:00, 7:00, 8:00, center to seconds bit; Flake at center of seconds bit. HANDS: Mismatched; Loss to bluing; Oxidation. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor marks and scratches on plate; Marring at case screws and barrel bridge screws; Balance cock screw replaced; Case screws replaced; Regulator assembly and balance stud clamp with oxidation; Balance endstone setting with minor marring. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) .
