Clocks- 3 (Three): (1) Seth Thomas, Thomaston, Conn., 30 hour, time and strike, spring brass movement small column & cornice shelf clock, c1870 (2) Seth Thomas Clock Co., Plymouth Hollow, Conn., 8 day, time and strike, spring brass movement small column & cornice shelf clock c1862 (3) Seth Thomas, Thomaston, Conn., 8 day, time and strike, spring brass movement small column & cornice shelf clock c1870
CONDITION: (1) Rosewood veneered case in an old finish has some veneer loss on the base and the cornice. Gilt moldings on the door and columns are now painted gold. Original dial has been repainted. Clean label inside. Original tablet. (2) Rosewood veneered case has veneer loss on the base and cornice molding. Painted dial with scattered loss is a replacement. Period hands. Molding and columns are now gold painted. Very dark partial label inside. (3) Rosewood veneered case in original finish has minor loss just below the door and a replaced piece on the left top side cornice molding. Original dial has been repainted. Original tablet and period hands. Dark but readable label inside.
