The Manchester Downtown Hotel (formerly the Radisson Hotel), Manchester, NH
Instruments- 2 (Two) Weather Instruments: (1) W. Ludolph, Bremerhaven, Germany, "Cyklonometer", instrument for analyzing typhoon activity, brass case, 7 inch signed silver dial in two parts with compass rose on the outside and adjustable inner portion with arrows representing wind vectors, two adjustable cursors over the glass, one with distance markings. (2) Ross, London, "Intrepid" compensated barometer, 4 inch finely engraved silvered dial, blued steel pointer and adjustable needle on the inner edge of the bezel, all beneath beveled glass.
CONDITION: (1) Brass case has a slightly uneven patina, probably from the protective lacquer degrading. Dial is lightly tarnished. Wind vector dial is rotated by depressing then turning the center knob. Cursors are somewhat tarnished. Packaging tape residue on the back. An unusual instrument. (2) Small scratches to the finish of brass case. Dial is in excellent condition Back plate has darkened. Dimensions are for the Cyklonometer.
