DESCRIPTION: James McCabe, Royal Exchange, London, a very decorative gold pocket watch, 11 jewels, key wind and set, gilt, full plate fusee movement with lever escapement and gold balance with diamond endstone in an 18 karat, yellow gold, reeded edge, engine turned open face case with London hallmark and date letter for the year 1841, beautifully matted and engraved, Roman numeral gold dial and blued steel, fleur de lis hands, serial #16288, 40mm, 61.7g TW.
CONDITION: CASE: Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Minor scratches on dome; Engine turning with minor wear; Bow worn; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Minor marks and scratches. HANDS: Minute replaced. MOVEMENT PLATES: Plate with fine scratches; Balance cock screw head with minor loss to blue. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) .
