DESCRIPTION: J.W. Benson, London, "The Field" pocket watch, 15 jewels, stem wind and pin set gilt plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, gold timing screws, and diamond endstone in an 18 karat, yellow gold, plain polished demi hunting case with blue enamel numerals on front cover, London hallmark, and date letter for the year 1915, Arabic numeral, single sunk white enamel dial, gold spade and whip hands, serial #E2018, 51mm, 107.6g TW.
CONDITION: CASE: Minor dings and pin pricks; Minor dents; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Very fine scratches on inner surface of case; Crown shell with losses; Enamel with minor losses; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Edge flake at 2:00, otherwise very good. HANDS: Good. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor marks and scratches on plate; Minor spotting; Regulator with a few specks of oxide. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks), low balance amplitude.
