DESCRIPTION: Richard Webb, Brecon, Wales, pocket chronometer, 15 jewels, key wind and set, gilt half plate movement with Earnshaw's escapement, free sprung cut bimetallic balance with gold timing screws and helical hairspring in an 18 karat, yellow gold, hinged back and bezel, plain polished, open face case with London hallmark and date letter for the year 1857, with Roman numeral, single sunk, white enamel dial, blued steel hands, serial #3/8940, 49mm, 93.9g TW.
CONDITION: CASE: Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Minor scratches on inner surface of case; Plastic crystal; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Hairlines in enamel, 6:30; Losses to enamel at edge of dial, partially concealed by bezel. HANDS: Mismatched. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Specks of dirt / dust. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) .
