DESCRIPTION: England, "Patent Chronometer", 12 jewels, key wind and set, gilt half plate movement with modified Robin type escapement, and cut bimetallic balance with gold timing screws, in an 18 karat, yellow gold open face case with London hallmark, and date letter for the year 1860, dome engraved "Edmund Fisher Crake, Lowestoft" Roman numeral, single sunk white enamel dial, blued steel spade and poker hands, serial #1416, 94.1g TW.
CONDITION: CASE: A few pin pricks; Minor scratches on outer surface of case; Scratches on inner surface of case; Band with small split at 10:00; Minor scratches on crystal; Bow worn; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Hairlines in enamel, light, 1:00 to seconds bit, 6:00. HANDS: A few specks of oxide. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Hairspring stud with minor oxide; One screwhead with minor discoloration. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Ticks briefly, needs service.
