DESCRIPTION: Charles Frodsham, 84 Strand, London, free sprung lever fusee pocket watch with sweep seconds, 22 jewels, key wind and set gilt plate movement with lever escapement, free sprung cut bimetallic balance with gold timing screws and diamond endstone, in a 20th century, purpose made sterling silver, hinged back and bezel, open face case with London hallmark and date letter for the year 1906, and Roman numeral white enamel dial, gold spade and whip hands, serial #02730, 50mm, c1865 (movement) .
CONDITION: CASE: Dings and pin pricks; Scratches on outer surface of case; Minor scratches on inner surface of case; Crystal with minor scratches; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Hairline in enamel, light, 1:00; Spider hairlines, edge, 3:00- 6:00. HANDS: Good. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Speck of oxide on hairspring stud. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Will run dial down, balance rim bent, dial up the balance rubs a train wheel, should run if balance issues are addressed.
