DESCRIPTION: A.P. Walsh, London, keyless spring detent pocket chronometer with wind indicator and duo in uno balance spring, 16- 17 jewels, stem wind and pin set, gilt plate movement with Earnshaw's escapement, platinum escape wheel, free sprung, cut bimetallic balance with gold timing screws, diamond endstone and duo in uno balance spring, in a later, sterling silver, engine turned and engraved open face case and Roman numeral, double sunk white enamel dial, blued steel and gold dual time zone hands, serial #2111, 51mm, c1885 (movement) .
CONDITION: CASE: Case has housed another movement; Dents; Waves, cuvette; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Very fine scratches on inner surface of case; Engine turning nearly worn smooth; Hinge plug absent; Bow replaced; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Hairline in enamel, light, 6:00. HANDS: Good. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Screws with minor oxide and loss to blue. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) .
