DESCRIPTION: Dent, London, a small gold pocket watch with duplex escapement, 9 jewels, key wind and set gilt full plate movement with duplex escapement and cut bimetallic balance with gold timing screws in an 18 karat, reeded edge hunting case with London hallmark and date letter for the year 1821, and Roman numeral, single sunk white enamel dial, gold Breguet style hands, serial #9001, 40mm, 79.5g TW.
CONDITION: CASE: Case has housed another movement. Dings; Minor scratches on outer surface of case; Cuvette with scratches; Rear cover with tiny gouge at edge; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Hairline in enamel, light, 6:00. HANDS: Very good. MOVEMENT PLATES: Fine scratches on plate; Speck of oxide on hairspring stud; Specks of dirt / dust. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) The movement fits the case very well, and they have been together for a very long time.
