DESCRIPTION: France, a large figural swinging clock, the female figure after "La Fortune" by Louis Moreau, her left foot on a cloud, the right on the winged wheel representing progress and technology, and holding the clock aloft in her left hand, the 8 day, time and strike movement contained in the blue, upper sphere, and mounted with gilt Roman numerals and Louis XV style hands, and three rod gridiron style connection to the smaller, lower ball
CONDITION: finishes on statue and spheres restored professionally restored by Charles Carrick, minor scratches, pendulum assembly cleaned, now lacking gilding, steel with specks of oxide, ticks and strikes
