DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, " No. 1087 Shakespeare " 8 day, time and strike, spring brass movement figural mantel clock.
CONDITION: Cast metal figural case in as found condition with some of the remains of the original gilding still intact. Painted iron base has chipping and loss on the edges. Original porcelain dial is perfect and original hands. Movement is signed.

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Count", 8 day, time and strike, spring brass movement crystal regulator mantel clock with visible escapement.
CONDITION: Polished brass and onyx top and base crystal regulator has a corner repair and a chip on the top. The onyx base has roughness on the corners. Original porcelain dial has a hairline crack at 12 o'clock. Original hands and pendulum. The right beveled glass panel has a small crack on the lower corner. The other glass panels are fine. The ornaments look to have been regilded or gold painted. Movement is signed.

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Don Caesar" Figure shelf clock with a spring driven, 8 day, time and half hour strike movement with visible escapement with a black enameled iron base with a Japanese bronze spelter statue.
CONDITION: The enameled iron base is in excellent condition. The figure and the clock case are also in excellent condition with a fair degree of the original bronze finish. The porcelain dial has several faint hairline cracks and a chip at 6. The beveled glass has no chips. The hands are original. The movement is signed. The rear door has separated at the hinge and needs attention.

CONDITION: Some of the original Japanese bronze finish on the spelter pieces remains. There appears to be some areas that have been painted gold. The statuary itself remains in very good condition with the exception of the missing right hand hanging pendant on the clock case. The porcelain dial has several hairline cracks and chips. The hands are original. The movement is signed.

CONDITION: there is a light amount of dust and tarnish on gilded surfaces. Silvered dial is in excellent condition Some fine scratches to black base. There is surface rust on the fusee chain. Dimensions include glass dome.

CONDITION: Small piece or molding is broken off of the back right corner of the case. Fine hairline crack under the winding arbor. Subsidiary dial is a bit faded. Hands appear original. Front glass is a replacement. Movement ticks.

CONDITION: Mahogany veneered case in an old finish has some loss on the front edge of the cornice and the bottom edge. Original painted dial is fairly nice for its age. The hands are replaced. The decalcomania tablet of the original Connecticut state house may be a replacement. Label has some loss inside.

CONDITION: The case retains some original finish and has minor veneer loss or repair in several areas. The original painted dial is in very good condition with minor loss at the four mounting pins. The hands are original. All three door glasses are original with the center glass depicting the Merchant's Exchange building in Philadelphia.

DESCRIPTION: Bradley & Hubbard, Meriden, Conn., "John Bull" blinking eye shelf clock with a spring driven, 30 hour, timepiece with a balance wheel escapement in a painted cast iron case.
CONDITION: The paint quality is poor. The movement is a modern day German movement. The replaced dial is now porcelain, the hands are new as is the brass bezel. The earlier style John Bull case with fancy base has been broken in several locations, poorly glued and is now in several pieces which will need to be properly glued.

DESCRIPTION: Brewster & Ingrahams, Bristol, Conn., Gallery hanging clock with an 8-day spring driven East-West timepiece movement with a brass spring in a crotch mahogany case.
CONDITION: The case is in very good condition with some original finish. There are two wood inserts in the bezel, however they appear to be from the factory. The 10 inch original painted wooden dial is in very good condition with minor loss at the pin mounting points. There are two newer stretchers behind the dial to mitigate warping. The hands are original. The movement is clean and running. The yellow label inside the case is spectacular. An excellent example.

CONDITION: Decorated wood front case in nice condition in original finish has minor damage at the lower left corner of the door. Original painted dial has some surface stains, some wear to the bottom numbers and minor loss at the mounting screws. Original hands. The shadow of the name can be seen on the dial. Original tablet has some wear to the frosted decoration. Original movement is signed: "Brewster & Ingrahams". Dark but readable label inside. A very good example of this style clock.

DESCRIPTION: Bulle Clock, France, electro-mechanical mantel clock, time only, battery-powered movement in a variegated pink marble case with black marble border and bold lightning bold pattern, 5 inch brass dial with Arabic numerals and blued steel hands.
CONDITION: The marble case is in very good condition with just a couple of small chips on the upper front edge. The lightning bolt patterns appear to be made with wax or shellac that was used to fill the pattern carved into the stone. The fine wire that completes the electrical connection near the suspension is out of position, so the movement will need attention to run. The movement has been wired to accept a modern "D" battery. The dial and hands are in very good condition
