DESCRIPTION: F. Kroeber Clock Co., New York, "Regulator No. 30" wall hanging clock with an E. N. Welch spring driven, 8 day, timepiece movement in a walnut case with burl accents.
CONDITION: The case is in excellent condition with a couple of small nicks and has been refinished. The original decorative skirting which attaches to the bottom of the case needs to be reglued. The paper dial appears original with the center portion now colored in. The hands are original. The movement is signed. The door glass is original with a stenciled design in excellent condition.

DESCRIPTION: Jerome & Co. (New Haven Clock Co.), New Haven, Conn., "Dneister" wall hanging double dial calendar clock with a spring driven, 8 day, time and strike movement and a B. B. Lewis perpetual calendar mechansim in a walnut case.
CONDITION: The walnut case is in excellent condition and has been lightly refinished. The two round wood buttons on the door bottom and two larger ones on the crest are missing. The original time paper dial is in excellent condition with minor wear and discoloration. The original calendar paper dial is also in excellent condition with minor wear. The hands are all original. There is a very good B. B. Lewis label inside the clock case. The clock was designed to make the base removable so that it could function as a shelf clock. The base piece will need a new dowel to attach it to the case. The door glass is original. Overall this is a very scarce clock, particularly retaining the base, and in good condition.

CONDITION: The case is in very good condition with mostly original finish and several areas of minor loss. The original painted dial is in very good condition with some minor restoration to the trademark area and minor paint loss at 11. The hands are original. The movement is signed. The bottom of the case base is different from all other examples of the Marcy we have handled, but it appears to be original. The bottom right finial needs to be glued back into the case. The door lock and knob need area and lower door glass may be replaced. The nickel pendulum is damascened.

CONDITION: the case retains its original finish nicely rubbed down. There is a small chip to right return molding on base. The dial retains its original painted surface and Seth Thomas signature but has been resoldered to the brass bezel. Dial has an unfilled hole above center shaft for a missing screw for a center cross piece under the dial. The gold stencil on glass is later.

The original painted dial is in good condition with fine craquelure and minor loss at the mounting holes. The white portion of the dial has been touched up in several places. The paint color match is very good. The hands are original. The seconds hand may be replaced. The door glasses are original. This gilt trim around the bottom door glass is in excellent condition. The movement is signed. The pendulum bob is nicely damascened. The case back carries a factory date of March, 1896.

The door glasses are original. The movement is signed and has a nicely damascened front plate. The brass clad weight has the nicely knurled top and bottom plates.

CONDITION: This is the clock pictured on page 273 of Tran Duy Ly's "Seth Thomas Clocks & Movements- Third Edition- Volume 1". The case is in very good condition with limited veneer loss on the base and on the left side of the bezel.. The original painted dial is in good condition except for some loss at 6. The hands are period. The seconds hand is proper style, but may be replaced. The case interior has a maroon flocking in the bottom portion. The paper beat indicator is original. Period embossed pendulum bob . The door glass is period but may have been taken out of the door to be rebacked. Walnut examples are less common than rosewood ones.

The calendar drum papers are original and somewhat darkened. The movement is signed. The door center gilt and painted eagle tablet is in excellent condition. The tablet is backed with an original Plymouth Hollow label inside the case. The upper door glass is original and the lower may be replaced. The hands all appear original.

The pillow base has apparently been reconstructed, but not in the proper form. The lower tablet glass is replaced and the gilt band surrounding the lower glass is overpainted. The upper door glass is original. The hands are original. The sliding weight baffle inside the case is present, but the label originally on it is missing. A smaller board below the baffle is missing, thus no beat scale remains.

The clock is mounted to a mahogany board with a barometer made by Fee & Stemwedel, dated 1942 and a compass made by Sherrill Research Corporation.
CONDITION: black phenolic cases of clock and barometer show the typical mottling that develops with age. The clock retains its original mounting plate. The dial is in excellent condition. The luminous paint on the hands and dial has darkened. All three instruments show a bit of wear commensurate with age and use.

CONDITION: Mahogany case in nice condition in an original finish has some dings on the right edge at the bottom door. Gilt bracket base has some light surface wear on the high spots. Original painted dial has some minor wear at the mounting screws and small chip at the winding arbor. Original tablets, eagle finial, pendulum and hands. A particularly handsome example in nice condition.

CONDITION: Ochre painted case with green accents in a crackled finish in good condition has some age darkening of the finish. Original painted dial has age darkened a little with some signs of lifting of the paint near 7 o'clock. Original tablets have scattered painted loss. A repair was made to the bottom bracket. Original hands and finial. Inside is an interesting label of the dates the clock was oiled in its early years.

DESCRIPTION: Waterbury Clock Co., Waterbury, Conn., "Atlanta", 8 day, time and strike, weight driven brass movement free swinging wall clock.
CONDITION: Dark oak case in nice condition in an old finish. Finials are nice proper copies. The low plinths the finials sit on have been restored. The original dial has been repainted. This model was offered with a silvered dial c.1893, but later examples had painted dials. The model as shown in Tran Duy Ly's "Waterbury Clocks & Watches" p. 198, #599, shows the model from the 1893 trade catalog. However, a few years later Waterbury added brass embellishments to the case and their later twist-style brass weights. Original pendulum has a small ding. Original Waterbury hands. Movement signed.

DESCRIPTION: Waterbury Clock Co., Waterbury, Conn., "Regulator No. 4", 8 day, double weight driven brass movement wall timepiece. This case was also used by Welch for their "Regulator G" model. Although unmarked, this one an A- frame movement similar to the solid plate A-frame movements used in some other Waterbury regulators.
CONDITION: Walnut and walnut veneered case nice condition in an old finish. There are a couple plugged holes in the right side door column and the bottom ribbed piece just below the door. Original painted dial has some staining and loss in the center area. Nice nickel plated pendulum bob. Original time hands. Seconds hand is replaced. Tabs have been added to the dial pan to attach the dial as the original holes got enlarged.

DESCRIPTION: Welch, Spring & Co., Forestville, Conn., "Lucca V.P." model shelf clock, 8 day spring movement, bell striking, in a rosewood case.
CONDITION: the center finial was replaced incorrectly, but you have 2 proper examples to copy. There is a half inch hole, top rear of case added for hanging. No label. Otherwise, this is a superb original example of the Lucca, with good painted dial, hands, flocked black dust paper, and good gilt pendulum with pressed glass insert. Definitely worth making a center final for this one.
