DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Winter (figure) and Hebe (base) " figural shelf clock with a spring driven, 8 day, time and half hour strike movement in a bronzed spelter case.
CONDITION: The case is in excellent condition with restoration to the finish. The signed porcelain dial has small chips at the outer edge of the dial at 9 and at 3. The hands are original. The movement is signed.

CONDITION: The enameled iron base is in very good and retains most of its original color. The two statues and the clock case are all in very good condition and still retain some of the Japanese Bronze finish. The porcelain dial is in excellent condition with no hairline cracks. The hands are original. The beveled glass has no chips. The movement is signed.

CONDITION: The brass case is in excellent condition. The front and side beveled glass panels are free of any chips. The rear door panel does have small chips on the upper and lower left corners of the panel. The signed porcelain dial outer section is in excellent condition. The inner portion has several very faint hairline cracks. The hands are original. The rack and snail striking movement is signed.

DESCRIPTION: Reproduction dwarf tall clock, signed "JACKSON ETON", 8 day, time and strike, brass weight driven movement in a mahogany case with broken arch top, center flame finial above fluted plinth, tombstone door on trunk flanked by fluted columns and turned and fluted columns flanking hood door. The brass dial with silvered chapter ring has name boss and cast corner spandrels.
CONDITION: the clock is in excellent original condition and professionally antiqued. Some Britons were quite active in the 20th century making "grandmother" clocks from new or old clock components. This example is quite handsome and has a quality movement.

The original paper dial has been replaced with a new Gilbert paper dial by the Dial House. The hands are original. The movement is correct. The door glass and both side glasses appear original.

The 3 cut glass mirror panels have minor chipping along the edges, The paper dial is original but quite darkened. The hands are original. The pendulum has a fancy cut glass bob with a star design. DESCRIPTION: E. Howard & Co., Boston, Mass., for Ashcroft, New York, marine lever, 8 day, time only, spring-driven movement with jeweled lever escapement in brass case with hinged bezel, 6.5 inch silvered dial inscribed with "Bureau of Lighthouses / Camellia / 1910", subsidiary seconds, black spade hands, movement serial number 1755.
CONDITION: The brass case has an original dark, splotchy patina. The protective lacquer over the silvered dial has yellowed, but is likely original. The hour hand has been repaired and the seconds hand is absent. The well-made Howard movement has 11 jewels and finely finished plates. The movement ticks. The Bureau of Lighthouses was a United States government agency from 1910 until 1939 when it was merged into the United States Coast Guard. It was responsible for the maintenance of all lighthouses and light vessels in the United States. The Camellia, surely among its earliest vessels, was a 116 foot long lighthouse tender built for service on the waters of Lake Pontchartrain and the Mississippi Sound.

DESCRIPTION: E. Howard & Co., Boston, Mass., "Marble Dial No. 20" wall clock, 8 day, time only, weight driven movement with maintaining power in white painted wood case with 24 inch white marble dial, black painted chapter ring and Roman numerals with red arabic five minute markers, signed "E. Howard & Co. / Boston" in red below the center arbor, black trefoil hands.
CONDITION: The thick marble dial is in very good condition with no major breaks and very few edge chips. Some of the paint on the dial has been touched up, especially the red minute markers, but most appears original. The painted wood box looks old and correct and was reglued on the left side at one point. There is some excess glue visible from the inside. The weight is the correct rectangular type. The hands and pendulum look correct too compared to other examples of this model that have sold at auction. The robust Howard movement is signed and complete with its stop works. The cable has been replaced with braided nylon cord. The top of pendulum stick has a small splint glued on to repair a split. The movement runs briskly, but was not tested long term. This clock is very heavy and fragile and this should be noted if it is to be shipped.

CONDITION: Mahogany case in an old finish. This example was most likely was made to have a clear finish as the grain painted cases were made of cherry. This example has a painted dial instead of paper. It is original, but the numerals and signature have been strengthened and it has a clear coat over the paint. Throat tablet is original. Bottom tablet is replaced. Original hands. The pendulum and rod look replaced as the keystone and rod are not the type usually found on H & D clocks.

CONDITION: This is the smallest of the five Howard No. 70 sizes. It has a 12 inch painted dial in excellent condition with loss only at the mounting holes and one small area of inpainting to the right of the center post. The hands are original. The nickel-plated movement is signed and stamped "70". The pendulum rod and bob are original as is the pendulum lock down bracket. The lower door tablet is original as is the glass in the dial bezel door. The case retains some original finish and has several small dings along the case bottom. Finish on the door is somewhat uneven.

CONDITION: brass case has some remnants of nickel plating around the bezel, but it is mostly worn away. Silvered dial is in decent shape with a couple of fine scratches and a bit of tarnish darkening the surface. Original hands have been bent in the past and have some rust. Glass is absent. Seconds hand and rating arbor pointer is missing. The center arbor is broken where the motion works mount to it above the front movement plate. Movement ticks.

CONDITION: The case finish has been nicely rubbed down. Dials are a bit dirty. The original paper date rollers have darkened. Remnants of rear paper labels. Both movements are present. Clock movement ticks and strikes, but was not tested long term.

DESCRIPTION: Ithaca Calendar Clock Co., Ithaca, New York, "No. 4 Hanging Office" wall clock with an E. N. Welch, spring driven, 30 day timepiece movement and a Horton's patented perpetual calendar mechanism in a rosewood veneered case.
CONDITION: The case has been refinished. There is no veneer loss however there is a small repair to the base of the case front and a small vertical split between the two bezels. The paper time dial is original while the paper calendar dial is a replacement. The calendar drum papers are replaced. The hands are original. The movement is signed "E. N. Welch, Forestville, Conn., manufactured for the Ithaca Calendar Clock Co.".

DESCRIPTION: F. Kroeber Clock Co., New York, "Artic" shelf clock with a spring driven, 8 day, time and strike movement in a walnut case.
CONDITION: The case is in very good condition with original finish. There is one crack in the wood panel above the door that supports the cast metal figurehead. The side mirrors are original. The original paper dial shows some wear at the winding arbors. The hands are original. The movement is signed "F. Kroeber Clock Co., New York". Three of the four finials are loose and need to be reinstalled. There is no evidence that the case ever had a beat scale.

DESCRIPTION: F. Kroeber Clock Co., New York, "Regulator No. 30" wall hanging clock with an E. N. Welch spring driven, 8 day, time and strike movement in a walnut case with burl accents.
CONDITION: The case is in excellent condition with a couple of small nicks and has been refinished. The paper dial appears original with age marks. The hands are original. The movement is signed. The door glass is original with a stenciled design and in excellent condition.
