CONDITION: CASE: Minor dent, back; Minor dings and pin pricks; Flat spot, bezel. 3:00; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on cuvette; Crystal with minor scratches. DIAL: Small chip in enamel concealed by bezel, 12:00; Specks of dirt / dust. HANDS: Loss to bluing, minute. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Balance stud and click spring with spots of oxide; One jewel screw with broken head; Specks of dirt / dust. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) A very unusual watch, and the only example known by this maker. The watch is discussed in a paragraph in the "Railway Age Monthly and Railway Age Magazine", Vol. II, 1881. According to the article, it was owned by Conductor W.W. Tucker, of the Nashville and Chattanooga railroad, cost him $225.00, and concludes by asking "Does he ship it in the express car, or does it require a special freight train to transport it ?". Isaac Boger Sr., and his son David are both listed as watchmakers in the Nashville city directory, vol. 17, 1881.
