the case retains its original finish with minor blemishes. The wooden bezel has an age split. The silvered dial is in good condition. The steel pendulum bob is a cylindrical piece that is a replacement for what was once a mercury filled vial. It has a pan for shot for fine adjustment, original tapered lenticular wood rod and fine silvered beat indicator. This rare Maine fabricated high grade jeweler's regulator, using German silver German silver bushings with closed ends, similar to the famous clockmaker Charles Fasoldt who also used silver busings, is an example by George Fitts, born in Massachusetts in 1785.
