case good, with remnants of an old finish, some veneer lifting, bonnet door with repairs, columns inverted, feet replaced, appears to have had either ball or turned feet originally, base molding with splits at corners from foot screws, dial with minor losses, minute and seconds hands replaced, movement with plugged holes, some pivot holes with aggressive punching, unusual strike work combining elements of count wheel and rack and snail striking, arbor which carries the gathering pallet repivoyed, plug loose, needs repair to prevent disaster, some wheels 4 spoke, others 5 spoke and with different finishing, fusees with external clicks, pendulum with modifications. This clock is quite a puzzle, and appears to have had numerous modifications and repairs throughout its life. Influence of the Germanic school is evident.
