Condition Report For Lot# 263 :
Mahogany case in an old finish has been poorly repaired by someone using nails to repair the bottom box. The door frames have nails to hold the members together whereas most banjos used splines to hold the frame together, so likely this frame is probably later. The door glasses are very old, but are cracked. The brass movement is a T-bridge. Original painted dial is worn and has some loss at the mounting pins. Period hands.
