Condition Report For Lot# 696 :
(1) L. & F. Andrews. Stripped mahogany veneered case with some loss on the base. Wood painted dial is too small and does not fit the opening. Door knob is missing. There are no hands, weights or pendulum. Mirror is period. (2) Birge & Fuller. Mahogany veneered case with some minor loss. Original painted dial with a darker area in the center and scattered paint loss above three o'clock and a little around six. Time side grommet is missing. Columns are now gold painted. Center tablet with loss on the left and right edges. Nice Fenn lower glass. Hands are original. Splat and chimney caps are missing. There are weights with this clock. (3) Riley Whiting. Mahogany veneered case with scattered veneer loss. Original wood movement. Original center mirror. Bottom door glass now clear, is inside the case. Hands with the clock are not original. Dial is missing. No pendulum. (4) Williams, Orton, Preston's & Co. Mahogany veneered case with restoration to the top cornice. Painted wood dial has age darkened. Center mirror is original. Bottom mirror is period and most likely original. Set of weights with this clock. (5) Unknown. Mahogany carved column case with veneer loss on the base. Veneer on both doors has been replaced. A carved shell crest and chimney blocks are in the case.
