Condition Report For Lot# 674 :
(1) Chauncey Boardman. Mahogany veneered case in original finish with veneer loss on the base and small piece missing next to the right finial. Original painted dial with minor paint loss at the winding arbors, at the mounting screws and a couple chips at 6 o'clock. Original tablet is cracked. Hands are modern. Left finial has a little of tip broken off. (2) Unknown, Clean rosewood veneered case with a ding on the left side. (3) Brewster & Ingrahams, rosewood veneered case with a small chip just above the door knob, at the cross strip and a small chip just below each finial block. The finials maybe a replacement as they aren't typical shape. Case has an interesting fusee movement with wood cones held in a block and what looks to be a fusee for the alarm. The alarm has an original brass spring. We did not check to see if the, time and strike, sides had brass springs. The dial and frosted glass are modern. There are no hands or wire gong.(4) Unknown. Veneered case in nice condition, but needs finish. Both tablets look to be modern replacements. There is a hole in the base that would suggest this clock may have originally had a wagon spring movement. However, the current movement may be OK. There are no hands, pendulum, dial or finials.
