CASE: Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Minor scratches on surface of cuvette; Hinge pin replaced, plugs missing, front; Crystal loose; Bow worn; Crown worn; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Cracks in enamel, loss to enamel at 10:00; Specks of dirt / dust. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Minor scratches on ratchet wheel; Regulator spring missing; Specks of dirt / dust. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Runs, setting not functional; Low balance amplitude. Note: Walter Ash Brooks, son of Dr. Floyd Vernon Brooks (1856-1916) and Ada (Ash) Brooks (1862-1925), was born Dec. 7, 1881 at Evans City, PA. He was a conductor for the Pullman Company. He died Sep. 6, 1961, age 79 and is buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, MD.
