A nearly identical clock may be found in Derek Robert's book titled British Skeleton Clocks, {1987} page 148, a difference being that Robert's clock has a central bell for sounding the half hours, plus a gong for the hours, while hours has only the hour gong. A plaque bearing the name of Nunn, Hertford is attached to the front plate. As Mr. Roberts points out, the clock "would have been made by Evans of Handsworth, all the mechanical components being very similar to those used on his Scott Memorial clock." With a Harrison's ratchet on the time fusee, both chains intact. Wheels with 6 spoke crossings. Ht of clock frame only = 15", overall 29" Dome = 12.25 x 8.25 x 25"
