Condition Report For Lot# 939:
Mahogany case in good condition with restoration. The throat door is veneered with cross grained mahogany and the bottom door is not. The bottom door may have been the part that was replaced. Both glasses are very old and appear to be period. The bottom tablet is cracked in the lower corner. The dial signed with a faux signature of Simon Willard is not original to this case as there are extra screw holes in the head. Hands are modern replacements. Period brass movement is fastened to the case with a single screw through the backboard. Wood finial is a replacement. Ht 32"
