Condition Report For Lot# 786 :
Connecticut made case with refinished mahogany veneer with a hand crafted weight brass movement with skeleton plates and lantern pinions in very nice condition with a small chip on the bottom corner of the door. Original door glass repainted. Bottom tablet is a replacement. Interesting 1866 repair label from a watch maker in Tarrytown, NY pasted inside. Hands are original. Another example of this movement may be found in "Pennsylvania Shelf and Bracket Clocks, 1750-1850" by LaFond and Harris, page 19. A very rare and unique clock. Ht 28".
