Condition Report For Lot# 459 :
Mahogany veneered case carries an original finish. The bottom door lacks a knob or lock and has a couple of nicks in the veneer. The sides of the case have what looks like satinwood veneer or a very fancy grained mahogany. The reverse painted tablet is modern. The mirror is old. It appears that whoever made the case mounted the dial door upside down as the current configuration shows too much white space above and below the dial, but it is still a nicely made clock. This actual clock was illustrated in the book "Clocks", by Doug Shaffer, 1980, p. 46. Ht 44"
