Condition Report For Lot# 40 :
CASE: Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on inner surface of case; A few minor scratches on crystal; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: A few minor scratches, otherwise excellent. HANDS: Very good, minor marks on minute. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Bright work with minor scratches, minor specks of oxide on chronograph clutch lever. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks). COMPLICATION FUNCTION: Chronograph functioning correctly, minute register advance pawl slightly gummy, would benefit from cleaning; Repeat functioning correctly, would benefit from cleaning. James M. Mitchell, son of Edgar V. Mitchell and Mary (Everson) Mitchell, was born in Feb., 1875 at Martinsville, IN. He was a horse trainer at Martinsville at the time of his death in 1910, age 35.
