Condition Report For Lot# 1002 :
iron and pewter dial with shell and scroll spandrels, has polished soft metal chapter with Roman numeral hours and large 5 minute markers on the outside of the minute track. Brass hands are old. but do not match; the hour hand is the original. The movement hangs from two upright iron spikes with two lower rear facing spikes for stabilization. Has a string suspended pendulum. Movement ticks and strikes. Crutch needs adj to pendulum rod. Mr. LaFond made the case as a copy of one at the Cloisters in Ephrata, PA with a similar movement of German influence. Color is dark grey (almost black). Ht 81"
