Condition Report For Lot# 1001 :
although there are some nicks and scrapes around the base, as is to be expected from a clock of this age, this is an exceptionally clean one-owner clock from the Frank family of Peterborough, NH. It was loaned briefly to a museum. A hand written note inside describes the event. Everything on this clock is original = weights, pendulum hands, dial, movement, finials, crank, etc. Using Seth Thomas movement No. 72, seconds beating with dead beat escapement, second hand, moon dial gearing, and maintaining power. This exact model is not identified, however the movement case is very well made with ribbon and swag applique to the plinth, stop fluted mahogany movement to the case sides and hood, and nice escalloped corners to the door. Minor losses in sky area on rolling moon. Original door lock and key intact. Ht 97" (remove center finial for 8ft ceiling)
