Condition Report For Lot# 409:
Mahogany banjo with a lot of restoration. The mahogany case was grain painted at some point to resemble rosewood and now houses an E. Howard & Co. banjo movement. Bottom tablet has a lot of restoration to the flaking border and the center area of the glass depicting the Boston State House is a repaint. Throat glass looks to be original to the door. Period dial has remains of a signature that is not readable. Gilding on the doors is in poor condition. Finial appears to off a later clock. Ht. 31 3/4"
